On Photography

So, on my reader thingy via Google, I have all my favorite blogs marked. And I have lot of other links that I just have...well, just because. A good number of them are links to photography. Now, I suppose I have a sort of good eye, but as I told my friend M___ I would rather photographer things than people...People will always give me trouble if I don't photograph them correctly. And most of the time I want to take candid shots of them...not to pose them. That's not me...and mainly I don't feel like it's capturing the person...hmmm....that was a little off target wasn't it?

Anyway...

I'll never be the kind of photographer that this guy is. (And no, I'm not giving him props just because I know him. I'm giving him props because he's a damn good photographer). Nor will I ever be Farl and photograph people like this. Mostly, I take pictures of what I want or think look pretty darn neat. Sometimes, I get lucky and things look better than I expect.

Like this one....

The number of games in the background doesn't even begin to show how many games we truly have.

We haven't played this game in a while and truthfully? We probably will never play it again. Though, it was fun and enjoyable there are other games that are more thought provoking and strategic than this one.

Sorry, Across the Desert.

Or this one...

I took this shot last spring. The tulips were just peeking their heads out of the ground - maybe they were already planted, I'm not sure - but the color and the spacing just looked too...luscious for me not to take a shot of them.

I hope they are peeking their heads out of the ground soon.

I digress...again.

I mean, I would like to learn how to take better pictures, but...you know...I've run out of time in my day. Do I sound a bit wistful? Yes, I am. However, I am also very content to just sit back and let more talented people take the pictures.

I've linked to them before but it bears linking again...
