I actually do not care much for the Rufus Wainwright's rendition of that song (and I do love Rufus!). But yes, the lyrics are really wonderful.

is that French?? my sisters took French in high school and i took Spanish. i was always giving my sisters a hard time about how many freaking unpronounced letters there are in the french language...

the song lyrics you posted probably translate to: "I love you." or "Love stinks", depending on the songwriters mood. (-:
