It's an REM sort of Day...
I'm chilling. Mellow. And R.E.M.'s Reckoning seems to fit my mood. It's wonderful background music while I clean up the second floor of my house.
Things are good, thank you for asking. ;) I feel better about myself (concerning job) and about my weight. Now, on the writing part of my new goals....that's something I have to start doing again, huh? That little interlude I wrote the other night isn't going to go anywhere. It's just a little snippet that popped into my head while I was doing the dishes. I wouldn't really know where to go with it if I did. I mean I could...but something tells me that I should try to push the boundaries of what I'm comfortable with writing, you know? Does that make any sense at all? No? That's okay. It didn't make any sense to me either. ;)
And as for my pesky personal statement...I'm not doing so well on it. I have no idea what to say without sounding like a total tool. I suppose I could play with the concept of time. But again, it would feel....fake. And I have no want of feeling fake concerning grad school. So...
Anyone have any ideas on what I should write for my personal statement regarding grad school? I'm open to ideas. Please? Pretty please? :)
BTW: Patrick, EDW and Jami I finished your mix cd's. I need your address again, Miss EDW. And Jami? I need good times from you to drop it off. Cause, I think it's just silly for me to pop it in the mail when I can just hand deliver it to you. ;)

I can't help you on the personal statement. I haven't done it for grad school and I wouldn't even know where to start.
Evenings are usually good, give me a call and we'll figure something out (but not tonight, because I'll be out :D )
Or, if you want to give me a call tomorrow, I can tell you about our church's Chili Cookoff Saturday and you can come and eat dinner and see us.
Jami: Perhaps, one day, you will open your door to find a brightly color package with your name on it. Don't be afraid, that's just your prize waiting for you. :) Or I'll just call you.
